A few days ago my grandfather gave me this Smith-Corona Electra 210 typewriter, it's really cool and fun to use so I brought it up with me to kill time whenever needed. They're not worth much unfortunately but that means that I can use it as much as I want and not need to worry about value!
Yes that's some terrible Maisto Countach that I bought at Five Below some time ago. It came in a pack of 5 cars so I thought why not lol.
I love this '57 Chevy Apache, so much that if I could buy one right now I would drop everything just to own one. It's such a beautiful truck. Also some hot wheels and the typewriter.
LAPD Cruiser
I taped this to my bed post so it doesn't roll off.
I have a few that aren't pictured but I don't feel like uploading everything from my iPotato 5C.
There will be more coming as I keep impulse buying at my local Stop and Shop.

thats a nice Smith machine. I have a Royal with glass keys, and a Selectric myself!

Thanks! Those glass keys must be an absolute joy to type on!

My grandfather left me many nice things. Among them this Brother, operated expertly by my daughter.

Nice! Being new to typewriters I thought you were referring to me as "brother" until I saw the logo on the back. It's also good that your daughter is an expert with them! Keep the typewriters alive!

Yeah, well, that's as in "expert", but she's at least taking care of the thing and wants to use it properly, as opposed to my Luddite boys :-)
You know what the strangest thing is though? My grandfather died in 2001, and i bet changing the ink tape wasn't the last thing he ever did - in fact he converted to a PC a few years prior to his passing. So we are looking at the better part of two decades here, but the ink tape still works, you can absolutely use this typewriter as it's creators intended.

That's a nice one. I'm more of an old computer collector rather than a typewriter collector. That being said, I do appreciate old typewriters, and have one of my own:
It's a late '20s or early '30s Royal Model 10. It was stored in a farmhouse attic for a while, and as a result, it's in pretty poor shape. Similar to your Smith, this Royal was from my grandfather.

That's a really cool typewriter, and I appreciate old computers as well. I actually prefer the look of older user interfaces (like Windows 98 and 2000) rather than new ones.
